WAIAKEA 7 – HPA 0

Waiakea High’s girls soccer team kept Hawai‘i Preparatory Academy off the board, winning 7-0 on Friday afternoon at Ken Yamase Memorial Stadium.

Now 4-0 in BIIF play, the Warriors will next set their sights on Konawaena (0-1-1), who they will host at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The boys game will follow at 4 p.m.

Ka Makani fell to 1-3, and will look to use its next matchup get closer to .500. HPA will not see its next field appearance until after the new year, when it will play away Jan. 5 against Honoka‘a High. (currently 0-1-0)

HILO 9 – KEAAU 0

For the second time this week, Hilo High’s girls soccer team shut out Kea‘au High in mercy-rule fashion on Thursday afternoon at Kea‘au HS.

Leilillian Solomon Hoopai and Maiya Kepoo-DeConte led the Vikings with two goals each.

La‘aulu Kalauoka‘aeæa-Kahele, Naliipoaimoku Harman, Aneala Sibayan, Lindsy Hiraki and Sera Varize all each scored one goal for Hilo.

Goalkeepers Teyahlia Kepoo-DeConte and Kryslynn Nabarro combined for the shutout.
